Taman Desa is a quiet, green residential pocket in southern Kuala Lumpur, tucked between Old Klang Road, Seputeh and Salak South and known for its low-rise character and mature trees.
The neighbourhood has its own commercial strip along Jalan Desa Bakti and Faber Towers, with Desa Park City-style green space at Taman Danau Desa and the Danau Desa recreational lake. Mid Valley Megamall, KL Sentral and the city centre are roughly ten to twenty minutes away via Jalan Klang Lama, Jalan Syed Putra or the Federal Highway. New launches here are limited and tend to be mid-rise residential on redevelopment plots rather than large-scale towers.
Current new launches include Kensho Residence and M Aspira. Browse the list on this page for unit types, sizes and completion dates.
Taman Desa is in southern Kuala Lumpur, bordered by Old Klang Road, Seputeh and Salak South, roughly ten minutes from Mid Valley Megamall and fifteen to twenty from KL city centre.
It is one of the quieter inner-city neighbourhoods, with mature trees, low-rise housing, its own commercial strip, international schools nearby and quick access to Mid Valley and KL Sentral.
Both appear in the area. Each project page on this site lists its exact tenure and land title.
Most layouts fall between compact 1-bedroom suites and 3-bedroom family units. Exact sizes and bedroom counts are listed on each project page.
Home loans in Malaysia typically cover up to 90% of the property price, so buyers usually prepare around 10% plus transaction costs. Some new launches come with lower upfront packages — check each project page or enquire via WhatsApp.
Besides the purchase price, budget for stamp duty on the Sale and Purchase Agreement and the loan agreement (loan stamp duty is about 0.5% of the loan amount), legal fees, and loan processing or disbursement costs.
A booking fee (earnest deposit) is a small percentage of the price paid to reserve a unit before signing the Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA).
Under-construction homes follow a progressive payment schedule tied to construction milestones set out in the SPA, so you do not pay the full amount upfront.
Freehold has no fixed ownership period, while leasehold is held for a set term (commonly 99 years). Each project page shows its exact tenure and land title.
Each listing shows the project expected completion or vacant possession (VP) date. New launch homes are usually handed over a few years after launch.
Foreigners can buy above a state minimum price threshold, and many projects in Taman Desa are foreigner-friendly. Confirm eligibility on each project page or via WhatsApp.
