The Shang Residence is developed by Shang Height Realty Sdn Bhd, a Melaka developer founded in 2015 by Alan Tee Kai Loon. The company says it has completed more than ten projects in Melaka with over 2,000 homes and shops, and The Shang Residence is its first project in the Klang Valley.
The project company, Linc Venture Land Sdn Bhd, is part-owned by Singapore Catalist-listed Lincotrade & Associates, an interior fit-out specialist, which announced the project’s soft launch on 28 February 2026. The sales gallery is in Kuchai Lama, close to the site.

Why Buy at The Shang Residence
Freehold, on Old Klang Road. A freehold title in an established part of Kuchai Lama, about 5 km from Mid Valley Megamall, with the KESAS, NPE and MEX highways close by.
A small, single tower. 449 homes in one 38-storey building means fewer neighbours sharing the lifts and facilities than in the larger twin-tower projects along the same road.
Family-sized layouts only. Every unit has at least three bedrooms, from 893 to 1,130 sq ft, so the building is aimed at households rather than short-stay tenants.
Why The Shang Residence May Not Suit You
The MRT is still a plan. The 400 m covered walkway leads to a station on the proposed MRT Line 3, which has not been built. Until it opens, budget for a car.
Two bathrooms, even with four bedrooms. Every layout has two bathrooms. In Type C, bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 share one, which gets busy for a larger household in the morning.
A new name in KL. Shang Height's track record is in Melaka, and this is its first Klang Valley project, due in 2029. Check the delivery terms in the SPA, and confirm the land title, since the developer calls it a serviced apartment.

- On the plan the study sits by the front door, next to the master bathroom and away from the other bedrooms, so it works as a home office. Type B is only 54 sq ft smaller than the four-bedroom Type C.
- Pick differently if
- Type C (1,130 sq ft) suits a larger family that needs four proper bedrooms; a couple with one child can save space with the 893 sq ft Type A.
