A Low-Density Tower Near Tokun Hill
The Retreat is a single 27-level tower with an unusual stacking plan. Levels G to 3 are car parks, level 3A is the facilities deck, and homes start on level 5 and run to level 26. With five homes per floor and two lifts serving all 110 homes, waits at the lift lobby should be short.
The five units on each floor have names in the brochure. Peace and Wisdom are the two corner units at 1,475 sq ft (Type B). Bliss and Joy, at 1,237 sq ft (Type A), sit next to them, and Grace, at 1,289 sq ft (Type C), takes the middle. All have three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so the choice is about room sizes and position, not bedroom count.
Parking differs by type. Types A and C get two bays side by side, while the larger corner Type B gets one single bay and one tandem bay, meaning one car may block the other. If you run two cars on different schedules, check which bays come with the unit before committing.
Units are handed over bare apart from air-conditioning holes. Ceilings are 10 feet, and the estate is gated and guarded, with card access and intercoms.

Five homes to a floor. Each residential level has only five units, and the tower holds 110 in total. Corridors stay quiet, two lifts serve the whole tower, and the corner units have outside walls on two sides.
Finished and freehold. The building was completed in April 2022 on freehold land, so there is no construction wait and you can inspect both a show unit and a bare unit before buying.
Two parking bays with every unit. Every home comes with two bays, side by side for Types A and C. For a two-car household in Bukit Mertajam, that removes a daily headache.
Why The Retreat Condominium May Not Suit You
Not for buyers who want four bedrooms. Every layout has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, even the 1,475 sq ft corner units. A larger family that needs a fourth room will have to look at landed homes.
A bare handover. Units come with air-conditioning holes and little else, so budget for kitchen cabinets, wardrobes and air-conditioners on top of the purchase.
Tandem parking on the corner units. Type B's second bay is tandem, so one car can block the other. Households with two cars on different schedules should choose an A or C unit.

- The master at one end has its own bathroom, bedrooms 1 and 2 sit side by side, and the living room and balcony take the other end, all on the same outside wall. Dry and wet kitchens are separate.
- Pick differently if
- Type A (1,237 sq ft) for the same three-bedroom arrangement and side-by-side bays in less space. Type B (1,475 sq ft corner) if you want bedroom 2 set apart from the master, beside the kitchen.
- Check before you book
- The project summary says every unit faces north, but the brochure's compass puts the bedroom and balcony side to the south. Check the direction from your unit's balcony at the viewing.
